About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Domestic Abuse Advocate to join our team. As a key member of our support staff, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to individuals affected by domestic abuse.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to service users, helping them to manage their needs and achieve a positive outcome.
  • Work closely with other agencies to ensure seamless referrals and effective support.
  • Lead a team of IDVA's, managing referrals and acting as a liaison between management and team members.
  • Complete administrative tasks, including data entry and reporting.
  • Engage with the community, meeting with new referrals and case loads, and working with other charities.
Requirements
  • Previous experience working with victims of domestic and sexual abuse, or suitable transferable skills.
  • Good knowledge of legislation and domestic abuse support strategies.
  • Desirable criteria: experience leading a team within a domestic abuse service, IDVA or QCF qualification, and a valid driving license.
