Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Agile Developer to join our team at Interface Recruitment UK. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership and support to team members, encouraging the adoption of new technologies, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and support to team members, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality software solutions.
  2. Technology Adoption: Encourage and support the adoption of new technologies, ensuring they align with the company's technical direction and strategy.
  3. Software Development: Develop software solutions that meet the definition of done, ensuring they are thoroughly tested and documented.
  4. Quality Assurance: Mandatory testing of produced software, including unit and integration testing, and corrections as required.
  5. Test Development: Create test harnesses and scripts when required, ensuring thorough testing of software solutions.
  6. System Maintenance: Maintain existing systems, fix software quality issues, and ensure software version standards are met.
Support and Training
  1. Industry Knowledge: Maintain a working knowledge of industry developments and technology best practices.
  2. Team Coaching: Monitor and coach development team members, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality software solutions.
  3. Technology Adoption: Maintain a progressive yet pragmatic approach to the adoption of new technology, ensuring the team and client base continue to benefit from new technology.
  4. System Knowledge: Improve systems knowledge and document (wiki and other artefacts).
  5. Issue Resolution: Support the development team in the resolution of system issues that have been escalated from product support.
Requirements
  1. Software Development Experience: 5+ years experience in software development, including 3+ years web development experience using C# and ASP.Net MVC, and 2+ years SQL experience.
  2. Elite-Level Skills: Elite-level software development skill, with a passion for new technology and ability to identify emerging trends.
  3. Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, with excellent interpersonal skills and cross-department relationships.
  4. Agile Experience: Experience with Agile project management – ideally Scrum.
Education and Qualifications

Ideally computer science educated, with Agile and MS development certifications but none essential.

Industry and Job Location
