About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Digital Solutions Delivery Lead to join our team at DataCareers. As a key member of our innovation team, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of developers to design, deliver, and implement successful software development projects using an Agile/Waterfall hybrid framework.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of developers to deliver innovative solutions in an Agile/hybrid projects delivery environment.
  • Promote and drive efficiency across all stages of the software development lifecycle, adhering to appropriate project management techniques to ensure completion to agreed timescales, quality, and budget.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements, and develop project plans and timelines.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including senior management, to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
  • Manage and coordinate project resources, including budget, personnel, and vendors, to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and mitigating risks, and implementing corrective actions as needed.
Requirements
  • 2+ years' experience in matrix managing or line managing software developers to deliver innovative solutions in an Agile/hybrid projects delivery environment.
  • Agile project management experience, including Scrum, sprints, and DSDM.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills, with the ability to demonstrate successful delivery of previous projects to timescale, quality, and budget targets.
  • Experience with collaborative project management tools, including JIRA and MS Project.
  • Strong awareness of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and experience with a broad range of software development projects/technical environments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise confidently across the team and communicate with and influence senior management.
  • Able to work a minimum of 2 days per week in a Wakefield office with the development team.
  • Experience delivering projects in a Public Sector environment is beneficial.
