Job Title: Agile Scrum Master

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Agile Scrum Master to join our technology team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing multiple technology projects and work streams, driving delivery of key project milestones using PRINCE2 and Agile methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Project Management: Manage end-to-end delivery of complex agile projects, establishing and controlling project constraints and scope.
  2. Scrum Master: Act as Scrum Master for one or more development teams, servicing the company's main products/tech projects.
  3. Project Governance: Responsible for all aspects of project management to ensure quality and on-time delivery of technology projects.
  4. Agile Methodologies: Drive governance aligned to industry standard frameworks (PRINCE2 and Agile).
  5. Project Planning: Develop and maintain project plans and documentation such as highlight reports, risk logs, action plans, and key dependencies.
  6. Project Tracking: Track and report on project budgets, timelines, and key Agile project performance metrics.
  7. Forecasting: Forecast the number of deliverables possible in an iteration based on evidence and reliable sources.
  8. Risk Management: Understand and apply correct escalation paths for department-specific or cross-departmental issues that place the projects at any kind of risk.
  9. Team Collaboration: Challenge, support, and make others accountable within the technology department who need to deliver against projects.
  10. Team Guidance: Guide the team on how to develop and test high-quality products.
  11. Scrum Ceremonies: Facilitate Scrum ceremonies (Burn down techniques, Stand-ups, Planning Sessions, Retrospectives, Refinement Sessions, and Product Backlog management with Product Owners).
  12. Communication: Assist with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and growing business trust in development.
  13. Demos and Decision-Making: Arrange demos and decision-making processes to ensure quick inspection and business acceptance.
Essential Qualifications:
  1. Technology Project Experience: Previous Technology (Infrastructure and Software Development) Project/SCRUM experience running multiple teams/projects simultaneously.
  2. Scrum Master Experience: Experience playing the Scrum Master role for at least one year for a software development team that was diligently applying Scrum/Agile principles, practices, and theory.
  3. Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge about tasks, backlog tracking, burndown metrics, velocity, user stories, etc.
  4. SDLC Knowledge: Appreciation of the SDLC for a product.
  5. Communication Skills: Good communicator, who bridges the gap between development team members and different departments within the company.
  6. Time Management: Time management/prioritisation skills.
  7. Negotiation Skills: Negotiation skills.
  8. Problem-Solving Skills: Problem-solving skills.
  9. Fast-Paced Environment: Experience in a fast-paced environment, working to tight deadlines.
  10. Budget Management: Budget Management experience.
Desirable Qualifications:
  1. Scrum Master Certification: Scrum Master certification.
  2. PRINCE 2 Certification: PRINCE 2 certification.
  3. Software Knowledge: Knowledge and use of software like Target Process / JIRA.
