About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Automation Engineer to design and program high-performance automation for systems of systems engineering or MBSE. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to support the needs of new product development programs and expand the capacity of existing lines through automation. Key areas of focus include configuration management, validation, automated workflows, software development lifecycle, securing critical infrastructure via automation, analytics, and asset integrity management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support new product development programs and expand existing lines through automation.
  • Improve resiliency and efficiency by stimulating critical infrastructure in software for planning, operations, optimization, and failure scenarios.
  • Participate in designing, tool evaluation, and code reviews.
  • Automate discovery and actions, including policies in place and decisions on data based on sensitivity. Deploy discovery tools to highly sensitive data sources, ensuring policy kicks in automatically encrypted based on sensitivity. Embed different layers of encryption for different types of data.
  • Perform other duties as required by the department.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or other related science or engineering discipline.
  • 3-5 years of experience in large-scale software development.
  • 3-5 years of programming experience using C# or any OOP (object-oriented programming) is required.
  • Prior experience with industrial robots, autonomous systems controllers, or digital engineering and sensors is essential.
  • Experience with SQL, communication protocols, GUI design, and database management is essential.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Solid working knowledge in C++.
  • Hardware/software integration experience is essential.
  • Strong programming fundamentals and analytical background in logical problem solving and demonstrated ability to organize and move project tasks forward in an orderly and structured fashion.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate issues/problems and results that impact timelines, accuracy, and reliability of project data.
  • A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected, including the ability to multitask and work productively in a demanding environment with changing priorities.
  • Certified Information Security Manager (CISM).
  • Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP) is essential.
  • Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP).
  • Certified Authorization Professional (CAP).
  • Information Systems Security Engineering Professional (ISSEP).
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
  • Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP).
  • Information assurance system architecture and engineer (IASAE).
  • It is prerequisite to be certified in one of the listed DoD 8570 Certifications.
Working Environment

This position requires the ability to communicate and exchange information, utilize equipment necessary to perform the job, and move about the office.

This position will operate in the regulatory engineering division MULTIDOMAIN DEFENCE DOCK. Standard engineering lab environment.

Employees must be legally authorized to work in the UK. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
