About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Surgical Ward Manager to join our team at Rydal Unit. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and supporting the Ward Manager in managing the ward environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Ward Manager in ensuring the safe and effective management of the ward environment
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of nursing policies and procedures
  • Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of ward-based projects
Person Specification
  • Registered Mental Health Nurse with a strong background in leadership and management
  • Proven experience of working in a mental health setting, with a focus on older adults
  • Knowledge of relevant Mental Health legislation and clinical risk management
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing competing demands
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders
