Position Summary:

The Financial Operations Manager is integral to enhancing fiscal strategy and performance within the organization. This position demands a keen analytical mindset, strong business insight, and a comprehensive grasp of accounting standards.

Primary Duties:

  • Supervise all facets of accounting functions, including management of purchase and sales ledgers, interactions with suppliers and clients, and processing of expenses.
  • Generate and evaluate financial statements, such as profit and loss reports, balance sheets, and cash flow analyses.
  • Oversee payroll management, commission computations, timesheet tracking, and credit control activities.
  • Ensure adherence to tax obligations, including VAT and corporate tax submissions.
  • Assist sales and service teams by delivering financial data and insights.
  • Engage in the budgeting and forecasting activities, offering financial perspectives to guide strategic choices.
  • Contribute to the leadership and growth of the accounting team.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • In-depth understanding of accounting principles and practices (e.g., GAAP, IFRS).
  • Expertise in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage).
  • Meticulous attention to detail and precision.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Capacity to work autonomously as well as collaboratively.

Preferred Skills:

  • Qualified accountant or Part Qualified (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA).
  • Experience in a comparable position.
  • Robust IT skills, including proficiency in Excel and financial modeling applications.
