The Financial Operations Manager is integral to enhancing financial strategies and outcomes within the organization. This position demands a keen analytical perspective, business insight, and a comprehensive grasp of accounting standards.
Core Duties:
- Supervise all facets of accounting functions, including management of purchase and sales ledgers, interactions with suppliers and clients, and processing of expenses.
- Compile and evaluate financial documents, such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
- Oversee payroll operations, commission computations, timesheet management, and credit control activities.
- Ensure adherence to tax obligations, encompassing VAT and corporate tax submissions.
- Assist sales and service teams by delivering financial data and insights.
- Engage in the budgeting and forecasting cycle, offering financial perspectives to guide strategic choices.
- Contribute to the management and development of the finance team.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- In-depth understanding of accounting standards and practices (e.g., GAAP, IFRS).
- Expertise in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage).
- Meticulous attention to detail and precision.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Capacity to operate independently as well as collaboratively.
Preferred Skills:
- Qualified accountant or partially qualified (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA).
- Experience in a comparable position.
- Proficient IT skills, particularly in Excel and financial modeling applications.
