Job Description

Job Title: Specialist Dietitian

Job Summary:

Cygnet is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Dietitian to join our team at Cygnet Brunel, a 32-bed male Neuropsychiatric service. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive Dietetic assessment and individualized Dietetic plans for individuals with complex presentations, working closely with the catering team, Speech and Language Team, and wider multi-disciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive Dietetic assessments of individuals referred for Dietetic input
  • Develop and implement individualized Dietetic plans to meet the needs of individuals
  • Collaborate with the catering team, Speech and Language Team, and wider multi-disciplinary team to provide specialist advice on feeding regimes
  • Provide direct 1:1 input, advice, and guidance to staff supporting individuals
  • Participate in unit-based clinics and group work to manage complex presentations

Requirements:

  • Registered Dietitian with a degree/postgraduate diploma in Dietetics and registration with HCPC
  • Membership of the BDA and experience working in an in-patient setting and/or in the field of neurorehabilitation or neurodegenerative conditions
  • Strong team player with excellent communication and time management skills
  • Enthusiasm, motivation, and passion for working with individuals with complex needs
