We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Paediatric Dietitian Specialist to join our team at Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a Paediatric Dietitian to work in a dynamic and successful organisation with a strong organisational and personal development focus. As a Paediatric Dietitian Specialist, you will be responsible for providing specialist clinical services to children and young people with a range of nutritional needs.
Key Responsibilities- Act as a specialist clinician for the paediatric service, supporting the clinical lead/s with evolving and embedding best practice into the clinical area.
- Manage own specialist caseload in this area, which may include advising the MDT on the most appropriate form of nutritional management for children and covering for children's ward/special care baby unit/children's day unit, educational establishments for children with additional learning needs, and general/specialist Paediatric Clinics on the award-winning Acre mill site as required.
- Work autonomously within Trust policies and professional practice, maintaining accurate and comprehensive up-to-date records.
- Carry out specialist assessment and treatment of children in a variety of settings with the aim of preventing hospital admissions and/or facilitating safe and timely discharges and transfers of care.
- Registered with HCPC.
- Behavioural change training/motivational interviewing skills.
- Clinical supervisory skills training and regular involvement in student training and assessment.
- Successful completion of post-graduate paediatric training e.g., BDA paediatric modules (or willing to complete).
