Job Title: Senior Practitioner

We are seeking an experienced Senior Practitioner to join our Initial Contact Team & MASH Team at Coventry City Council. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing complex assessments and providing social work support to departmental standards.

About the Role:
  • Manage the Initial Contact Team & MASH Team, ensuring effective case management and social work support.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and develop professional plans to achieve the best outcomes for children and families.
  • Supervise and support other staff, including NQSWs, students, and social workers, to ensure high-quality practice.
  • Contribute to team and service development, ensuring the service achieves its objectives.
Requirements:
  • Recognised professional Social Work qualification.
  • Proven experience in social work, with a focus on children's services.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and support a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, children, and families.
