Our Team:

We have a multi-award winning Ecology team, recently winning the CIEEM Large Consultancy of the Year and Large Scale Mitigation project in 2023. Our team consists of over 95 permanent ecologists across 13 offices working as one cohesive unit. We prioritize flexible working, minimizing time away from home and providing seamless remote and flexible working through our IT systems.

About the Role:

We are seeking a talented Principal/Associate Ecologist to focus on technical bid support, business development, and project management. The main focus of this role is to support the ecology management team with business development activities across the UK in line with our ecology strategy. This will include leading on, supporting with, and coordinating the technical elements of bids, tenders, and framework opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the ecology management team with business development activities across the UK.
  • Lead on, support with, and coordinate the technical elements of bids, tenders, and framework opportunities.
  • Contribute to business development activities across ecology, including the coordination of national initiatives.
  • Support specific objectives relating to areas identified for growth, including attendance at conferences, client workshops, and other events.

Requirements:

We are looking for an experienced ecologist with a passion to achieve the best environmental outcomes on projects. The ideal candidate will be a confident and competent ecologist with a sound understanding of the technical aspects of ecological consultancy and be commercially astute. They will also have a willingness to understand how other parts of the business work and be able to draw on their professional network to add value to bids, business development, and projects.
