About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Ecologist to join our team at Allen & York. As a Senior Ecologist, you will be responsible for managing large and complex projects, working with a team of highly experienced ecologists to deliver high-quality results.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate project activities, ensuring timely completion and high-quality deliverables
- Lead and mentor junior team members, providing guidance and support to help them develop their skills and expertise
- Develop and implement project plans, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives
- Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliverables
- Conduct site visits and surveys to gather data and information
- Prepare and present project reports, recommendations, and findings to clients and stakeholders
Requirements
- Master's degree in a relevant field, such as ecology, environmental science, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in ecological consulting, with a focus on project management and team leadership
- Strong knowledge of UK and European legislation, policy, and guidance related to ecology and environmental management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and teamwork
- Full UK driving license
