Orthopaedic Surgeon

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Orthopaedic Surgeon to join our team at University Hospitals Birmingham. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing complex trauma cases in adults and children, as well as supporting the development of our Fragility Fracture Service.
Key Responsibilities- Manage complex trauma cases in adults and children, including hip and knee arthroplasty
- Support the development of our Fragility Fracture Service, working closely with two other committed surgeons
- Deliver high-quality care to patients, ensuring excellent patient outcomes and experience
- Contribute to the development of our Trauma and Orthopaedic department, including training and education of junior staff
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care

Requirements- Highly developed skills in trauma and revision arthroplasty, with completion of post CCT/CESR fellowship training
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
- Ability to work flexibly, including on-call shifts and working across multiple sites
- Commitment to delivering high-quality care and contributing to the development of our department
