Consultant in Trauma and Orthopaedics - Traumaplasty

The University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Trauma and Orthopaedics to join our team. As a leading centre for trauma and orthopaedic care, we are committed to providing the highest quality patient care and training for the next generation of surgeons.

The successful candidate will be working alongside two other committed fragility fracture surgeons to develop the service in all areas. They will be supported to maintain an elective practice in either revision hip or knee arthroplasty if desired.

Main Responsibilities
  • Supporting the Femoral Fracture Fragility service
  • Supporting the Complex Arthroplasty Service
  • Demonstrating good interpersonal skills with patients, relatives, and members of the clinical team
  • Good written and oral English language skills
Requirements
  • GMC Registration
  • CCT or equivalent
  • Current ATLS or European Trauma Course provider or instructor
  • Orthopaedic on call service managing complex trauma in both adults and children
