Speech and Language Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our dynamic team at Homerton Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist, you will play a key role in delivering innovative models of working and providing holistic, relevant, and functional support to children and the professionals around them.
Main Responsibilities- Work in mainstream secondary schools, PRU/vocational college, and Youth Justice Service to provide clinical sessions and team work
- Develop and implement effective assessment and intervention plans for bilingual children
- Collaborate with children, parents, and colleagues to provide sensitive and complex information
- Contribute to project work associated with developing and evaluating new services
- Plan and deliver clinical sessions, including creating a safe and secure trauma-informed therapy approach for young people
- Recognised Speech and Language Therapy Degree Qualification or equivalent
- Health and Care Professions Council - Licence to Practice
- Registered Member of Royal College of Speech and Language Therapist
- Post-graduate experience in relevant specialist area
- Evidence of having received mentoring support in the relevant specialist area
- Experience of providing clinical supervision to SaLT students
- Experience of instigating and managing change
- Clinical supervisors course for staff and students
- Other relevant experience, such as personal experience of children or previous experience of working with children and/or people with other disabilities
