Merchandising Director

ROC Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Merchandising Director to join a leading High Street Fashion retailer. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for driving the company's merchandising strategy and ensuring the delivery of effective stock management.
Key Responsibilities:- Stock Management: Oversee the management of stock levels, ensuring optimal inventory levels and minimizing stockouts.
- KPI Achievement: Develop and implement strategies to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) and ensure costs are in line with budget and supply chain plans.
- Category Sales and Margin Forecasts: Produce accurate forecasts for category sales and margins, enabling informed business decisions.
- Liaison with Suppliers and Trading Team: Build strong relationships with external suppliers and the trading team to drive business growth and improve stock turnover.
- OTB Proposals and Agreements: Develop and propose operational target budgets (OTBs) and negotiate agreements with stakeholders.
- Team Management: Lead a varied team to deliver results, focusing on improving stock turnover and driving business growth.
- Educational Background: Degree-level education or equivalent.
- Merchandising Experience: Proven experience in merchandising, gained at a blue-chip fashion or general merchandise retailer.
- Leadership and KPI Achievement: Demonstrate a track record of successful leadership and meeting KPIs.
