About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and flexible Premises Officer to join our team, providing essential maintenance, security, and cleanliness services across various sites. The role requires a high level of flexibility, including the availability to work weekends when necessary.

Key Responsibilities
  • General Maintenance: Conduct general maintenance work to ensure services are maintained to a high standard.
  • Asset Management: Maintain service assets and resources, ensuring compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Flexibility and Availability: Work flexibly across a service rota from 7 am to 10 pm, including weekends and bank/public holidays as required.
  • Process Development: Develop and maintain local systems, processes, and procedures to ensure comprehensive service delivery.
  • Routine Checks and Repairs: Perform routine checks and minor repairs on heating, lighting, plumbing, and other systems.
  • Building Maintenance: Undertake minor building, fixture, furniture, and equipment repairs, reporting any defects as necessary.
  • Porterage Services: Provide responsive porterage service, adhering to Health and Safety guidelines.
  • Contractor Liaison: Liaise with external contractors and ensure Health & Safety compliance.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure equipment, including assistive technology and manual handling equipment, is in good working order.
  • Area Setup: Plan and set up areas within the building for various service requirements.
  • Building Access: Open/close buildings and manage alarm systems as per procedures.
  • Health and Safety: Conduct portable appliance testing (PAT) and oversee Infection Prevention Control (IPC) procedures.
  • Cleaning Services: Undertake and oversee cleaning duties, including floor scrubbing, buffing, polishing, and outdoor maintenance.
Requirements
  • Clean Driving Licence: Clean UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (travel expenses will be paid).
  • Enhanced DBS Check: Enhanced DBS check due to working with vulnerable children and adults.
  • Flexibility: Flexibility to work across various sites and outside of standard hours, including weekends.
  • Premises Maintenance Experience: Experience in premises maintenance and familiarity with Health & Safety regulations.
  • Teamwork and Independence: Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • IT Systems: Proficiency in IT systems for safety checks and hazard management.
  • PAT Experience: Experience with portable appliance testing (PAT) is desirable.
