Position Overview

We are seeking dedicated Registered Nurses to join our exceptional team in the Cardiology and Endocrinology department.

This role is essential in providing high-quality care to patients with complex health needs, specifically those requiring advanced support in our specialized ward.

The team is expanding, and we are looking for additional nursing professionals to ensure optimal staffing levels, allowing us to maintain the highest standards of patient care.

Ward Focus

Our unit specializes in the management of patients with cardiovascular and endocrine disorders, necessitating a high level of clinical expertise. We are committed to delivering comprehensive care to patients classified as requiring levels 4 and 5 support.

We prioritize your professional growth and development. Our organization is dedicated to facilitating ongoing education, including opportunities for Advanced Life Support (ALS) training and access to courses at the University of South Wales. We understand the importance of work-life balance and strive to accommodate flexible scheduling to support our staff's well-being.

During your initial months, you will receive thorough training in essential nursing skills, including but not limited to:

  • Cannulation and phlebotomy
  • Male catheterization
  • Point of Care (POC) testing
  • Blood transfusion and sampling
  • Immediate Life Support (ILS)
  • Medication management and intravenous drug administration

Key Responsibilities

Your role will involve providing exceptional care to acutely ill patients with cardiology and endocrine conditions. This includes utilizing the necessary skills to support patients in high-dependency areas of the ward.

We will ensure you have a supportive environment, working closely with a mentor to prepare you for your responsibilities. Our experienced team of ward leaders is committed to providing guidance and support throughout your transition.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential:

  • NMC registered nurse or student applying for NMC Pin number
  • Registered Nurse with post-registration experience

Desirable:

  • Advanced Life Support (ALS) provider certification
  • Postgraduate university coursework
  • Experience in cardiology or endocrine care
  • High dependency or critical care unit experience
