About the Role

The Production Supervisor will oversee the Ostomy manufacturing department, ensuring high-quality products and efficient operations. Reporting to the Production Manager, this role is responsible for supervising staff, maintaining quality control, and promoting a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and staff the Ostomy manufacturing department, ensuring quality and efficiency.
  • Implement quality control measures, including record keeping and document control.
  • Conduct return-to-work interviews, probation reviews, and performance appraisals.
  • Maintain a robust traceability system and ensure tooling/machinery are properly maintained.
  • Participate in internal auditing and ensure corrective actions are taken.

Health and Safety

  • Conduct regular safety walks and promote a culture of health and safety.
  • Ensure production staff receive comprehensive health and safety training.
  • Assist in incident management and take corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Continuous Improvement

  • Assist in identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing LEAN manufacturing methods.
  • Engender a culture of cleanliness and efficiency throughout the manufacturing environment.
  • Assist in achieving KPIs, including efficiencies, quality, and throughput.

Requirements

  • Previous production supervisory experience.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Previous experience working within a QMS.
