At Vermelo RPO, we're seeking a skilled Assurance Analyst to join our team. As an Assurance Analyst, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting and delivering across various aspects of our annual risk assurance plan.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Executing assigned areas of the annual risk assurance plan, providing progress updates and outcomes of completed testing.
  • Reporting results and proposed actions back to operational management to agree actions for any areas where controls and processes could be improved.
  • Maintaining effective relationships with stakeholders to follow up on actions, supporting timely completion and escalating effectively when necessary.
  • Supporting reporting by providing insight on risk metrics and risk assurance activities.
  • Contributing to the scope areas for the annual risk assurance plan.
  • Maintaining assurance records, including updating the Risk Management System with reports and action tracking evidence.

Requirements:

  • Appropriate qualifications (ICA / IRM / IIA) or willingness to work towards.
  • Previous experience of testing approaches.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Planning skills.
  • Effective communication and influencing skills.
  • Continuous improvement mindset.

Desirable:

  • Additional qualifications or experience in IT audit / assurance, data and information governance, or risk management.
  • Knowledge of audit / assurance and risk management frameworks.
  • Insurance industry understanding.
  • FCA regulatory requirements.
  • Experience of working closely with senior management.
