About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Safety Case Manager to join our team at National Nuclear Laboratory. As a key member of our safety team, you will be responsible for ensuring the company's continued compliance with all safety case-related Site Licence Conditions.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in safety case management, with experience in planning, alignment, development, and implementation of safety cases. You will be able to work independently with minimal management direction and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation of governance arrangements to ensure compliance with legislative, regulatory, environmental, safety, and quality requirements.
  • Develop and maintain a clear strategy for the ongoing management of the project safety case.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for project safety case issues and provide high-quality safety case advice to stakeholders.
  • Identify and drive improvement initiatives on safety case understanding and implementation in the workplace.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislative, regulatory, and company policy, standards, and procedures.

Requirements

  • Experience in a regulated industry with a strong background in safety case management.
  • Compliance professional with a degree-level education and extensive practical experience in a safety case management role.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret complex information, with a proven problem-solving ability.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and work collaboratively with stakeholders.
  • Good analytical thinking skills, with experience of solving novel and challenging technical issues.
  • Ability to obtain SC level security clearance.
