Radiological Safety Consultant

RPS Group is seeking qualified candidates for the role of Radiological Safety Consultant within our Health, Safety & Risk division. We offer flexibility in terms of work location.

Role Overview:

As a Radiological Safety Consultant, you will engage in safety projects throughout the UK, focusing on the development of nuclear safety cases and associated documentation. Key responsibilities include: Collaborating with RPS Project Managers and clients to produce effective safety documentation. Coordinating with engineering teams, plant operators, and other safety specialists in areas such as Human Factors, Fire Safety, Criticality, Radiological Shielding, and Environmental Safety to present cohesive and comprehensive safety cases. Representing RPS Group professionally to clients, prospective clients, and colleagues.

Required Skills and Experience:

A minimum of 2 years of experience in nuclear safety or related high-hazard industries. A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field such as Physics, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Control/Electrical Engineering. Exceptional customer service skills, with strong listening and interpersonal abilities. Proficient written and verbal communication skills. Adaptable approach to ensure effective project delivery.
