The London North West Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to fill the role of Emergency Department Administration Coordinator. This position will be responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support to the Emergency Department team, ensuring the smooth operation of the department and providing excellent customer service to patients and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the Emergency Department team, including answering phone calls, responding to emails, and managing correspondence.
- Manage and maintain accurate records and databases, including patient information and departmental statistics.
- Coordinate and schedule appointments, meetings, and events, ensuring timely and efficient communication with stakeholders.
- Develop and implement administrative processes and procedures to improve departmental efficiency and productivity.
- Collaborate with the Emergency Department team to identify and resolve administrative issues, ensuring seamless operation of the department.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and visitors, responding to their queries and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
- Work closely with the Emergency Department General Manager, Service Manager, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with departmental goals and objectives.
Requirements:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other administrative software, with the ability to learn new systems and technologies quickly.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends, to ensure 24/7 coverage of the department.
