Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our Neurosurgery team as a Clinical Administration Coordinator. This role involves providing essential administrative support to the medical professionals within the Neurosurgery service line. You will collaborate closely with the Band 4 Specialty Coordinator to ensure that the Consultants and the broader medical team receive timely and efficient secretarial assistance. This position is part of a dynamic, multi-skilled team committed to delivering exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities

The primary duties of this role include:

  • Managing patient administration systems effectively and efficiently.
  • Ensuring compliance with all Trust Policies and procedures.
  • Typing dictations and filing patient correspondence.
  • Scheduling outpatient appointments and coordinating theatre bookings.
  • Handling PTL management and addressing data quality inquiries.
  • Providing excellent customer service by answering patient calls.
  • Assisting with various administrative tasks as required.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential Criteria

  • Previous administrative experience.
  • Demonstrable experience within the NHS.

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience in NHS secretarial roles.

Educational Requirements

Essential

  • A-C grades in Math and English GCSE or equivalent qualifications.
  • Proven administrative skills.
