Job Title: Chief Engineer, Engineering Services

We are seeking a highly experienced Chief Engineer to join our team at Strata Construction Consulting. As a key member of our Engineering Services department, you will be responsible for leading our Civil and Structural Engineering team in the Birmingham office.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the day-to-day activities of the Structures and Civils team, including resource allocation and staff supervision.
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality technical design services for Surface Water drainage, Foul Water drainage, Highways, and Public Realm projects.
  • Develop and implement Surface Water and Foul Water Drainage Strategies in accordance with project design stages.
  • Construct Hydraulic Models and analyze Foul Water Networks using Causeway Flow and Domestic Units Analysis.
  • Design drainage systems in accordance with the latest standards, including Design and Construction Guidance DCG, BS EN 753, and Ciria Guidance for SUD's and Modular Geocellular Tanks.
  • Prepare Section 104, Section 106, and Section 185 agreements in accordance with the Water Industries Act.
Requirements:
  • MEng/MSc/BEng/BSc Hons Civil or Civil and Structural Engineering degree.
  • At least 20 years of post-graduate experience in design consultancy for commercial/industrial projects.
  • Experience of Civil Engineering Design for Structural projects is highly desirable.
