Senior Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our client based in Preston. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering projects from start to finish, managing project costs, and ensuring timely completion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and oversee project schedules, monitoring progress and identifying impacts
  • Maintain project cash flow projections, flagging any risks or negative cash flows
  • Lead internal and external project meetings, ensuring progress alignment
  • Coordinate project activities across various stages for schedule adherence
  • Generate internal project summary reports and communicate progress regularly
  • Produce external project progress reports as per contract requirements
  • Attend client meetings to provide project updates and status
  • Identify, log, and manage project risks and opportunities
  • Manage changes to contract scope and develop variations or compensation events
  • Oversee quality management, addressing non-conformances and issues
  • Conduct formal project closure, including cost assessment and lessons learned documentation

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction, mining, nuclear, rail, refinery, or chemical industries and experience with commercial project management. They will be confident and experienced in managing projects from start to finish, with a focus on cost control and management of contracts.

Salary: £80,000 - £90,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus + Pension + Hybrid
