Position Overview:

As a Senior Vice President in the Legal & Compliance department focusing on Conflict Management, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the firm's conflict resolution processes and ensuring the effective implementation and maintenance of our information barriers.

Key Responsibilities:

In this role, your primary responsibilities will include:
  • Supporting the global head of the conflict management team.
  • Assessing potential transactions to identify names that may need to be included on the firm's restricted or control lists.
  • Acting as the main liaison for the conflict management team in the EMEA/APAC regions.
  • Collaborating with various legal and compliance teams to determine the necessity of adding or removing companies from the firm's control lists.
  • Identifying potential transactional conflicts and escalating them to the appropriate legal and business contacts.
  • Analyzing the firm's interactions with companies to uncover possible conflicts of interest.
  • Documenting analyses for conflict resolution.
  • Gathering deal updates from investment teams.
  • Evaluating and managing requests for wall-crossing.
  • Reviewing trade pre-clearances from public-facing businesses.
  • Assisting with personal trading pre-clearances as required.
  • Enhancing the firm's systems for documenting conflict checks and maintaining the restricted and watch lists.
  • Drafting and coordinating comprehensive responses to regulatory examinations.

Qualifications:

IFSC Online Ltd. seeks highly motivated and intelligent individuals who have demonstrated excellence in their previous roles. The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Over 10 years of experience in a major financial services firm, particularly in conflict management or relevant legal and compliance roles.
  • Experience in responding to regulatory inquiries and examinations.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to spot issues effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • The capability to work independently while being a collaborative team player.
  • Significant initiative, creativity, and drive.
  • A keen attention to detail.
