Technical Supervisor Job Description

As a Technical Supervisor at Sky, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth delivery of productions across our innovative facilities and systems. Reporting into a Studios Technical Manager, you will work closely with Studios craft teams to provide on-the-day technical ownership of productions, ensuring client confidence across all crafts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-line technical support and act as the key point-of-contact for engineering incidents affecting gallery and production operations.
  • Liaise directly with Production teams and escalate as appropriate.
  • Work across a range of systems, including remote production and cloud-based, to deliver programming produced through the resources of Sky Sports efficiently and effectively.
  • Match signals, colour balance and video levels by eye using the appropriate interfaces, measuring devices, and monitoring, to ensure that broadcast standards are achieved.

Requirements:

  • Solid understanding of production technical areas, including galleries and studios.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of broadcast technology, developments, and techniques, including Remote Production and HDR.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
