About the Role

The Procurement and Supply Chain Officer will be responsible for the timely ordering, supply, and expedition of raw materials, assemblies, and support services to maintain production. This role will involve managing select suppliers to ensure on-time delivery while managing inventory levels to prevent shortages and maximize turns.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage select suppliers to ensure on-time delivery and maintain inventory levels.
  • Liaise with Engineering, Planning, Sales, and Manufacturing disciplines to ensure a team approach.
  • Prepare and distribute weekly expedite reports to designated supply chain partners.
  • Analyze exception messages from the ERP system and place purchase orders to ensure cost-effective and timely delivery.
  • Prepare electronic document packs to support custom part orders for submission to supply chain partners.
  • Manage selected suppliers to maintain inventory control and ensure the timely flow of materials.
Requirements
  • Experience in purchasing electronics or electro-mechanical components/parts.
  • Confident user of MS Office.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Able to build and maintain relationships.
  • Must drive and hold the full right to work in the UK.
