Job Summary

A leading manufacturer is seeking a skilled PCB Design Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing PCB layouts, electrical schematics, and mechanical designs, as well as supporting Manufacturing Engineering.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Designing PCB layouts for high voltage power supplies and control electronics.
  2. Creating and modifying 3D models and assemblies, including piece part information.
  3. Generating and maintaining part information and bills of materials.
  4. Maintaining the PCB library and DCC drawing system.
  5. Producing system schematics, wiring diagrams, and schedules.
  6. Ensuring adherence to the Company's ISO 9001 Quality, ISO 14001 Environmental, and Health and Safety management systems.
  7. Providing reliable and quantifiable estimated labor times for assembling new products.
  8. Contributing to specifying process consumables used throughout the company.
  9. Implementing effective configuration and data management processes.
  10. Specifying and procuring necessary tooling requirements.
  11. Offering support to production staff as needed.
  12. Identifying and eliminating waste in all engineering processes.
Requirements:
  1. HNC or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
  2. Proven expertise and experience in PCB design (preferably to IPC Standard) and mechanical design with knowledge of analogue, digital, and surface mount technologies.
  3. Computer literate and knowledge of MS Office.
  4. Proficiency in CAD packages for PCB and mechanical design (experience in Cadstar, eCadstar, Board Modeller, Inventor, and AutoCAD are a distinct advantage).
