We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Health and Safety Officer to join our team at Vertiv in Campsie, Northern Ireland. This role will report directly to the EHS Manager and work closely with the Senior Management team to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct regular site audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions to prevent incidents and accidents.
- Promote a culture of safety and well-being among team members, ensuring they are aware of and comply with relevant health and safety procedures.
- Ensure compliance with ISO standards and manage documentation accordingly.
- Support the Production Supervisor in identifying and addressing performance gaps among team members.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement within production areas, encouraging employees to suggest and implement process improvements.
- Develop and implement an audit process and schedule to meet the site's needs.
- Communicate changes to operating instructions to all Team Leaders and ensure they are implemented effectively.
- Collaborate with production supervisor, Manager, and Project Engineers to ensure deadlines are met while maintaining compliance with health and safety procedures.
- NEBOSH Certified or higher with a minimum of 2 years' experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions.
- Accuracy and consistency in all aspects of work.
- Self-motivated and proactive approach to work.
- Experience in a predominantly site-based role (desirable).
- NEBOSH Diploma/Degree qualified (desirable).
