Position Overview:

As a Revenue Management Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the administration of business rates, ensuring effective billing, collection, and recovery processes. This position offers a flexible work environment, allowing for a blend of office and remote work.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all facets of business rates operations, including billing, valuation, and recovery.
  • Engage with customers through various channels, including in-person, telephone, and written communication.
  • Address freedom of information requests and tackle business rates avoidance issues.
  • Maximize revenue generation while maintaining compliance with relevant legislation.
  • Represent the council in court proceedings as necessary.

Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated knowledge of business rates legislation and procedures.
  • Experience in a dynamic administrative role within an office setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders from both public and private sectors.
