About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Diabetes Specialist Nurse to join our team at the Division of Surgery – BHRUT NHS. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide specialist care to adults with diabetes, working closely with healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist nursing care to adults with diabetes, including assessment, treatment, and education.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care, including developing and implementing care plans.
  • Deliver education to staff, patients, and carers on diabetes management and care.
  • Support and supervise junior diabetes nurses, promoting their professional development and growth.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of diabetes services, including protocol-based nurse-led clinics.
