Job Summary
We are seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to join our team in a key role. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the effective supervision of all responsive repairs works in their allocated area.
Main Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage a team of maintenance personnel to ensure the delivery of high-quality repairs and maintenance services.
- Liaise with clients, sub-contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure key performance indicators (KPIs) are met.
- Manage all aspects of the delivery of works, including provision of specifications and quotes, liaison with planners on work allocation and follow-on works, and ensuring plant and materials are scheduled accordingly.
- Support other departments, such as voids, when required.
- Support on a rota basis the out-of-hours (OOH) supervisor call-out.
- Conduct effective one-to-ones and performance development plans (PDPs).
- Create and deliver on learning opportunities for team members through effective talent management and career and succession planning.
- Promote and encourage information and knowledge sharing between team members.
- Carry out toolbox talks.
- Provide support and advice on all works-related matters.
- Plan, allocate, and evaluate team and individual workload, providing additional resources where necessary.
- Put safety and health at the heart of decision-making, creating an environment where ideas are freely expressed.
- Control and oversee the work in progress, ensuring works in progress are managed and closed down accurately.
- Ensure all aspects of health, safety, environment, and quality (HSEQ) are adhered to at all times.
- Ensure the progress of work adheres to contractual requirements.
- Maintain records, including details of plant, machinery, progress, resources, etc.
- Attend any ad-hoc inspections.
- Assist in any hand-over process.
- Employ processes that add value to customers and people.
- Support in the resolution of complaints.
- Report on and support any H&S incidents that occur.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years supervisory experience within the repairs sector.
