Job Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Powertrain Mechanical Development Specialist to lead our DCT Driveline team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering Transmissions & Driveline development and validation testing in accordance with component & vehicle development plans.

Your remit will be to robustly prove out product attribute targets, support vehicle programme timing, cost and quality across all projects. To excel in this role, you will need to have a keen eye for detail and be an open and honest communicator.

You will work closely with a team of engineers to define component and system targets with the design team. Your responsibilities will include creating and maintaining test procedures, owning component, system and vehicle DVP, planning and executing mechanical development/performance development testing, and leading problem-solving investigations that occur during the development programme.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Physical hands-on experience with other DCT or transmission types
  2. Mechanical engineering degree or equivalent
  3. Experience of driving optimization through analysis
  4. Managed concern resolution experience
  5. Experience with INCA, MDA, AVL CONCERTO & MATLAB
