Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and qualified Mechanical / Hydraulics Service Technician to join our site service team at Connect Personnel. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance and repairs on hydraulic equipment, working closely with our Technical Manager to ensure seamless service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Consult with customers on repair and safety-related issues, providing expert advice and guidance.
  • Generate sales leads during service calls, identifying opportunities to upsell and cross-sell our products and services.
  • Complete all necessary reports and inspections as required, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with our site service team to deliver exceptional customer service, responding promptly to customer needs and concerns.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry trends.

Requirements:

  • City and Guilds, or NVQ equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Practical experience with hydraulic equipment, systems preferred, with product training provided.
  • Good grasp of the English language (verbal and written).
  • Willingness to work extra hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
  • Hold a current driving license.
  • CSCS Card (desirable).
  • SSSTS or SMSTS (desirable).
  • Confined Space Training (desirable).
  • Forklift truck, MEWP, Crane experience (desirable).
