About Oxfam
Oxfam is a global movement of people working together to end the injustice of poverty. Our mission is to tackle the inequality that keeps people poor, and to help people build better lives for themselves and others.
We operate a volunteer-led model, where volunteers are empowered to take over most of the tasks within the shop, including running the shop in the manager's absence. Our shop managers are pivotal to the success of our business and can make a real difference.
The Role of our Shop Managers
Our shop managers are commercially aware and constantly looking for new business opportunities. They motivate their teams, create a safe and energized work environment, and are accountable for their business. They are empowered, varied, and busy, and give the opportunity to work with some amazing people.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the shop's daily operations, including sales, customer service, and volunteer management.
- Develop and implement business plans to increase sales and revenue.
- Lead and motivate a team of volunteers to achieve business goals.
- Ensure the shop is run in a safe and efficient manner.
- Monitor and report on shop performance, including sales and customer feedback.
