About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced In-House Lawyer to join our legal team at Danske Bank. As a key member of our team, you will provide legal advice and guidance to internal stakeholders, ensuring that our business operations are compliant with relevant laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide legal advice and guidance to internal stakeholders on a wide range of matters, including corporate security, insolvency, and restructuring.
  • Prepare and perfect bank security and other documentation.
  • Deliver a high-quality, timely, and cost-effective legal service.
  • Exercise sound judgment in escalating matters and supporting the General Counsel, Head of Legal Services, and other lawyers.
Requirements
  • UK Qualified solicitor or barrister with 1-5 years PQE.
  • Recent experience of working in the banking department of a law firm, taking corporate security, or advising on insolvency and restructuring matters.
  • Experience of working in an in-house legal team for a retail financial institution or advising on regulatory matters, preferably in relation to retail banking.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, and sound commercial judgment.
