About the Role

We are seeking an experienced In-House Lawyer to join our legal team at Danske Bank. As a key member of our team, you will provide legal advice and guidance to internal stakeholders, ensuring that our business operations are compliant with relevant laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality legal advice and guidance to internal stakeholders on a wide range of matters, including corporate security, insolvency, and restructuring.
  • Prepare and perfect bank security and other documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Deliver a timely and cost-effective legal service, using your own initiative and sound judgement to escalate matters when necessary.
  • Support the General Counsel, Head of Legal Services, and other Lawyers by undertaking tasks as required.
Requirements
  • UK Qualified solicitor or barrister with 1-5 years PQE.
  • Recent experience of working in the banking department of a law firm, taking corporate security, or advising on insolvency and restructuring matters.
  • Experience of working in an in-house legal team for a retail financial institution, advising on regulatory matters, or general banking queries.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, with a pragmatic approach, sound commercial judgement, and a good sense of humour.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of £40,000-£45,000 dependent upon experience, as well as an attractive range of flexible benefits centred on financial, psychological, physical, and social wellness. Our benefits can be tailored to your needs, and we offer a hybrid working arrangement, with a minimum of 3 days per week in our office.
