Job Summary:

Monarch Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Care Assistant/Nurse Support to join our team at Haddon House Nursing Home. As a Senior Care Assistant/Nurse Support, you will play a vital role in overseeing care delivery, supporting the care and nursing team, and ensuring high standards of care at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Allocate staff to ensure an effective skill mix and provide leadership to the care team.
  • Oversee the diary for each shift, communicating with external healthcare professionals as required, and supporting the Registered Nurse to update and write risk assessments and care plans.
  • Maintain communication between visitors and nurses, and manage medications, enquiring with the pharmacy, GP's, and mental health team as needed.
  • Deliver personal care as appropriate to clients' needs, and assist the care staff with personal care, fluid and dietary intake, pressure area relief, and checks.
  • Complete checks for all relevant documentation, ensuring all information is recorded, and communicate with the nurses regularly throughout the shift.
  • Produce verbal and written reports as required.

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 3
  • Ability to work on a rota basis, including alternate weekends and some bank holidays.
  • Competitive hourly rate, up to £, depending on experience and qualifications.
