Compensation: £49,937

Role Overview:

We are excited to present an opportunity for a skilled Versatile Engineering Technician with an Electrical Focus to join our welcoming team at the Ashby facility, home to iconic KP brands such as Hula Hoops, Skips, Nik Naks, and Space Raiders.

As a vital member of the Engineering team, you will deliver a comprehensive electrical, mechanical, and maintenance engineering service aimed at safely enhancing production efficiency in alignment with the company's growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct repairs and maintenance on production and ancillary equipment, ensuring minimal downtime in accordance with production requirements.
  • Develop and maintain planned preventive maintenance (PPM) schedules, keeping accurate maintenance records and completing data entry within specified timelines.
  • Serve as the primary contact for contractors on-site, ensuring all necessary documentation is prepared and that safe working practices are established prior to work commencement.
  • Respond to engineering assistance requests from production and maintenance leads, monitoring visual management boards to prioritize urgent tasks.
  • Collaborate with production teams to enhance their understanding and capability regarding equipment operation.
  • Quickly identify issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement solutions to prevent recurring failures.
  • Adhere to policies and procedures in line with food quality management systems and retailer-specific technical standards.
  • Actively participate in food safety and health and safety initiatives, identifying hazards and ensuring compliance with all safety protocols.
