Electrical Maintenance Technician

Location: Ashby de la Zouch

Shift Pattern: 24/7 or Panama shift pattern (12 hr shifts) day and night shifts

Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our dedicated team at the Ashby facility, known for producing iconic snack products.

As a vital member of the Engineering team, you will deliver comprehensive electrical and mechanical maintenance services to enhance production efficiency and support the ongoing growth of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct repairs and maintenance on production and auxiliary equipment, ensuring minimal downtime in alignment with production requirements.
  • Develop and manage planned preventative maintenance schedules, maintaining accurate records and timely data entry.
  • Oversee contractors on-site, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and documentation.
  • Respond to engineering requests from production and maintenance teams, prioritizing tasks effectively.
  • Collaborate with production staff to enhance their understanding and operation of equipment.
  • Quickly identify issues and perform root cause analysis to prevent recurring failures.
  • Adhere to food quality management systems and retailer-specific technical standards.
  • Actively participate in food safety and health and safety initiatives, identifying risks and ensuring compliance with safety procedures.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Proven experience in a food manufacturing environment.
  • City & Guilds Level 3 or higher in electrical engineering, ideally with multi-skilled capabilities.
