The Role:

We are excited to present an opportunity for a skilled Versatile Engineering Technician with an Electrical Focus to join our dedicated team at the Ashby site, home to iconic KP brands.

As a key member of the Engineering department, you will deliver a comprehensive electrical, mechanical, and maintenance engineering service aimed at enhancing production efficiency and supporting the ongoing growth of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform repairs and maintenance on production and ancillary equipment, ensuring minimal downtime in accordance with production requirements.
  • Develop PPM schedules, maintain precise maintenance records, and complete data entry within specified timelines.
  • Act as the primary contact for contractors on-site, ensuring all necessary documentation is prepared and that safe working practices are established prior to work commencement.
  • Respond to engineering assistance requests from production and Maintenance Leads, monitoring visual management boards to prioritize tasks.
  • Collaborate with production teams to enhance their understanding and capability regarding equipment.
  • Quickly identify issues, conduct root cause analysis to prevent recurring failures.
  • Adhere to policies and procedures in line with food quality management systems and retailer-specific technical standards.
  • Contribute actively to food safety and health and safety initiatives, identifying hazards and ensuring compliance with all safety protocols.
