About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lung Cancer Specialist Nurse to join our team at Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialist nursing care to patients with lung cancer, working closely with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure seamless care and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist nursing care to patients with lung cancer, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Work closely with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure seamless care and support for patients.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families, promoting self-management and empowerment.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support for patients.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse with a valid NMC registration.
  • Post-registration education in oncology or palliative care.
  • Experience of working in a specialist cancer care setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
