This is a full-time on-site role with a salary that is negotiable. Responsibilities include: You will possess the authority delegated from the Head of Manufacturing Engineering Submarines for all activities related to manufacturing technology. Engaging with international programs, this role offers the chance to influence and implement cutting-edge manufacturing technologies from concept to execution. You will be accountable for approving requirements for new technologies and advocating for their development. Additionally, you will oversee the governance and management of the manufacturing Research and Development (R&D) portfolio, ensuring appropriate reporting is maintained. Regular interaction with relevant research institutions and suppliers will be essential for effective horizon scanning.

Your qualifications and experience: We seek an individual with extensive expertise in manufacturing engineering within large, complex manufacturing settings, capable of developing and implementing innovative technologies that enhance our operational performance. A degree in a STEM field or equivalent experience in an engineering discipline is required. Membership in a recognized engineering institution and the qualifications to achieve chartered status are essential. You should be innovative, proactive, and passionate about creating solutions that improve manufacturing and business performance. A comprehensive understanding of all aspects of Manufacturing Engineering disciplines, including processes, toolsets, procedures, standards, and technologies, is necessary. Familiarity with Life Cycle Management and Operational Framework processes is also important.
