Job Title: Training Programme Director

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled individual to join our team as a Training Programme Director. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and manage the delivery of dental core training programmes in Community Dental Services (CDS) across Yorkshire and the Humber region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Induction and support of trainees
  • Recruitment and selection of trainees
  • Delivery of education and training programmes
  • Quality control and assessment of trainees
  • Leadership and management of the Educational Supervisor team
  • Attendance at DCT Board and Strategy Planning meetings
  • Development and implementation of innovative pathways towards the Dental Education Reform Programme

Requirements:

  • Registration with the General Dental Council (GDC)
  • Primary dental healthcare qualification
  • Considerable experience of working with learners or doctors in training in an educational context
  • Knowledge of the NHS, its structures and processes, including an understanding of healthcare/multi-professional workforce matters
  • Demonstrable leadership skills and an ability to influence and motivate others
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, written and presentation skills
