Main Responsibilities

  • Conduct structured consultations autonomously, managing patients with new conditions or worsening chronic illnesses.
  • Plan and deliver home visits for patients, addressing both urgent care needs and chronic health issues for those unable to visit the practice.
  • Oversee the triage process conducted by administrative staff, ensuring quality and providing training as necessary.
  • Collaborate with the nursing lead to optimize resource utilization.
  • Serve as a mentor and training resource for colleagues and trainees.
  • Collect and present data to inform service development.
  • Promote the appointment system within the practice, working as part of a same-day service supported by a physician for guidance.

Our practice serves a diverse patient population of 14,000, supported by a multidisciplinary team including GPs, Nurse Practitioners, Paramedics, and administrative staff.

Key Qualifications

  • Minimum of one year of experience in triage, minor illness, A&E, or as an Emergency Care Practitioner.
  • Current registration with a professional body and adherence to relevant codes of conduct.
  • BSc (Hons) or equivalent in Nurse Practitioner Degree or Advanced Clinical Practice Masters.
  • Completion of a minor ailment module at BSc/MSc level.
  • Independent and supplementary prescribing qualifications.
