This role presents a remarkable opportunity to join the Dermatology Team within a prominent healthcare organization. Your contribution will be vital to the services provided to patients, necessitating prior experience in a healthcare environment. You will assist both the administrative and clinical teams by overseeing the MOHS waiting list, ensuring that patients receive prompt appointments for evaluations and minor procedures. Effective communication with other facilities will be crucial to guarantee that all patients are informed of their appointment statuses.
Additionally, you will be responsible for validating and updating patients' 18-week pathways, so familiarity with Referral to Treatment standards would be advantageous.
A strong dedication to personal and professional growth, as well as teamwork, are critical components for success in this role. You will be supported by a dedicated team of administrative staff and will report directly to your Support Manager.
Main Responsibilities
The MOHS Surgery Administrator and Booking Coordinator will manage patient appointments and coordinate schedules for MOHS procedures. Key responsibilities include:
- Maintaining accurate patient records and managing the waiting list.
- Ensuring timely communication with patients regarding appointments, cancellations, and rescheduling.
- Collaborating closely with dermatologists and medical personnel to enhance scheduling efficiency and patient flow.
- Addressing patient inquiries and providing information about procedures.
- Assisting with various administrative tasks.
Strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities are essential to deliver a seamless, patient-centered experience in a dynamic dermatology clinic.
The post holder will be responsible for providing a booking appointment service utilizing electronic systems and communication tools. This will involve formal collaboration with service users, including service managers, to ensure that patients are seen within target timelines and that clinic schedules are optimized for maximum capacity. The role includes managing multiple waiting lists and clinic booking summaries while delivering a confidential, efficient, and user-friendly service.
