Emponics is seeking a skilled Cost Management Specialist to join our growing team, focusing on our expanding Painting division. This role is ideal for an individual with substantial experience in quantity surveying, particularly within the painting sector. As the primary Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in mentoring junior staff while overseeing projects across various locations.

As one of the leading privately-owned property service providers in the UK, Emponics is dedicated to delivering innovative and responsive solutions to the built environment. Your expertise will be vital in managing our painting contracts, ensuring client satisfaction while maintaining cost efficiency and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed measurements and prepare accurate cost estimates for contracts and tenders, identifying potential risks.
  • Oversee the pricing strategy for tenders to enhance business success and profitability.
  • Prepare comprehensive cost value reconciliations for contracts, pinpointing commercial risks and opportunities for effective contract management.
  • Collaborate closely with the Contracts Manager to establish productivity targets prior to contract initiation, including management of direct labor and subcontractors.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients to ensure ongoing communication regarding contract variations and progress.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Experienced Quantity Surveyors or Assistant Surveyors ready to advance their careers.
  • Proven ability to manage contracts from estimating and tendering through to cost control and final accounts.

The ideal candidate will be analytical, organized, and trustworthy, with a strong aptitude for effective communication with clients and team members, fostering a collaborative work environment.
